Bailey Seagraves has been developing goaltenders since 2012 and began coaching full-time in 2017 after accepting a role as an Emergency Backup Goaltender for the Columbus Blue Jackets of the NHL. As his coaching career and reputation continued to grow, Seagraves Goaltending was officially founded in 2019.

A native of Hilliard, Ohio, Bailey developed through the Ohio AAA Blue Jackets program, where he earned multiple invitations to USA Hockey National Festival Camps, competed for an opportunity with the U.S. National Team Development Program, and was later selected by the Chicago Steel in the USHL Futures Draft. He went on to play junior hockey in the USHL, NAHL, and USPHL Premier before transitioning into coaching and goaltending development.

Bailey has served as a goaltending coach and director of goaltending development with the Ohio AAA Blue Jackets since 2017, helping numerous goaltenders advance to junior and collegiate hockey. He also serves as the Director of Goaltending Development for Battery Hockey Academy and has worked with a variety of Central Ohio’s top junior, high school, and youth programs.

Bailey currently serves as the Goaltending Coach for the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL, adding professional hockey to an already extensive coaching background. He has also worked with the Columbus Mavericks junior program and numerous Central Ohio high school programs, helping teams and goaltenders achieve state championships, league titles, and OHSAA regional championships.

From 2021–2023, Bailey served as the Goaltending Coach for The Ohio State University Women’s Division I hockey program. During his tenure, the Buckeyes captured a WCHA Frozen Four championship, a WCHA regular-season title, and the program’s first-ever NCAA National Championship.

Through Seagraves Goaltending, Bailey continues to work with goaltenders of all ages and skill levels, with an emphasis on building strong technical foundations, efficient movement, confidence, and the ability to consistently perform in game situations. His experience as both a player and coach at the youth, junior, collegiate, and professional levels provides a unique perspective for goaltenders looking to take their game to the next level.

Originally from Redwood City, California, Michael grew up playing hockey from the age of 4 and goaltending starting at the age of 9. He played at the highest club level for 7 years, finishing with the Ohio Blue Jackets U18 AAA (2020-2021). He also played at the junior A level in the USHL, NAHL, and finished his junior career in the BCHL with the Surrey Eagles (2022-2023). He later continued his career in Division 1 hockey at Robert Morris University (2023-2024). After completing a year of Division 1 hockey, Michael made the difficult decision to prioritize earning his degree in finance and shift his passion for hockey into the role of coaching. Starting his coaching career, Michael has worked in various clinics over the last few years, coaching kids of all ages in camps with Seagraves Goaltending.

Michael believes in a holistic approach to coaching, focusing not only on skill development and tactical understanding but also on building character, teamwork, and sportsmanship. His coaching philosophy emphasizes hard work, resilience, and a love for the game, which he instills in the players we work with. 

Zach Waizmann, a native of Dublin, Ohio, brings both high-level playing experience and dedicated coaching knowledge to his role as a goaltending coach. From 2022–2026, Zach served as the goalie coach for Miami Youth Hockey in Oxford, Ohio, where he worked with players of all ages ranging from 8U through the high school level, focusing on skill development, positioning, and game awareness.

As a player, Zach competed at the AAA level with the Cleveland Barons and the Sylvania North Stars before advancing to junior hockey with the Columbus Mavericks. He concluded his playing career at Miami University (ACHA Division II) from 2022–2026, where he helped lead the team to a TSCHL Championship and a National Runner-Up finish in 2024.

Zach combines his competitive playing background with hands-on coaching experience to help develop confident, technically sound goaltenders at every stage of their growth.
